Are you commercially savvy with strong financial and analytical skills? If so, we need you to monitor market trends, assess the success of our product sales and promotions and make pricing recommendations to optimise sales while remaining competitive.

About Us

Delivering excellence since 1944, Franklin Vets is the largest privately owned veterinary practice serving South Auckland, the Pohutukawa Coast, North Waikato and the Hauraki districts. The business is split into Commercial Farm, Lifestyle Farm, Companion Animal and Equine divisions, allowing our teams to focus on their individual areas of expertise and provide the best patient care, specific advice and client service they can. We are growing and as such need a Pricing Specialist to collaborate with stakeholders to lead pricing decisions and optimise our pricing strategies.

What you will be doing

Based in our Pukekohe Support Office, this newly created role reports to the Finance Manager, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products and client service fees are competitively priced while aligning with supplier agreements, market dynamics, and our strategic goals.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Benchmarking to understand industry and market position
  • Working cross functionally to understand the business and review fee pricing, customer segmentation, promotions and product sales
  • Creating reports to provide commercial insights and recommendations based on market positioning and trends to inform pricing decisions and improve performance
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve the pricing process


About You

You’re an energetic self-starter with a strong accounting background and pricing experience, ideally gained within pharma or agribusiness. You will have:

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels including marketing, inventory and finance
  • Strong analytical, modelling and problem solving skills to support business decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently present insights and recommendations
  • Ability to build consensus and influence pricing decisions
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant degree.
