TerraCycle is a global company that recycles products that are currently unable to be recycled through household recycling bins. Taking a circular approach, TerraCycle can transform our used packaging into solid reusable goods such as dog frisbees, agility equipment and much more.
Once the recycling has been received at a local TerraCycle Material Recovery Facility, it is scanned to record the shipment information, date, weight and material it contains.
The food bags are then sorted based on material characteristics and composition, and then cleaned, shredded, melted down and pelletised into raw material. The raw material is sold to manufacturing companies who produce the end product and complete the recycling journey.
The movement of materials is strictly controlled at each part of the recycling process to maintain a recycling chain of custody. This allows TerraCycle to track and confirm where materials were sent and why.
In addition, for every kilogram of recycling collected, Royal Canin will donate $1 to Blind Low Vision.
