Julia graduated from Massey University in 2004 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and worked as a mixed practice, equine and surgical vet nurse around Warkworth, BOP and Waikato before joining Franklin Vets Pukekohe in 2009 as the Head Veterinary Nurse. After she had her daughter in 2012, she returned to Franklin Vets in 2014 joining the Executive Team as Inventory Manager.

She now manages the Inventory Department made up of a team of 3-4 people who run the centralised ordering system and are responsible for the purchasing for the whole company, product lines, equipment, stock management and supplier liaison. Her role involves a lot of project management, working with a variety of people both internally and externally and also involves travel to all eleven branches which means a variety of locations and people to work with.

Julia was attracted to working at Franklin Vets because it is a progressive vet group with good career opportunities and fantastic support for families and working parents. She had her son in 2018 and is currently on maternity leave with her third child. The flexibility FVS gives her to work around her family commitments has really given her the work/family balance required to allow her to grow her career within the company.
