Referral Veterinary Nurse

Are you a dedicated and compassionate surgical veterinary nurse looking to advance your skills?

Veterinary Referral Services (VRS), is a Best Practice accredited clinic, providing complex surgical care for a range of referral cases from primary veterinary caregivers. We have a new, purpose-built space, with endoscope, multi-parameter monitoring, in-house laboratory, digital x-ray and ultrasound equipment.

About the Job

We are looking for a friendly, dedicated surgical nurse to work alongside our team of highly skilled professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with surgical procedures and anaesthetic monitoring, ensuring high standards of clinical care
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients, both pre- and post-surgery 
• Assisting with ultrasound examinations and digital radiography
• Engaging with pet owners to manage admissions and provide updates on patient procedures and recovery
• Collaborate with clinical team and GP clinics to ensure optimal patient outcomes

About you

You’re an experienced Diploma qualified Veterinary Nurse with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. While experience in a referral environment would be beneficial, it is not essential.
