Amanda Carr - Production Animal Technician

Amanda lives in Te Kauwhata and has previously been farming in the area for over 8 years. Most of her farming experience is with dairy cattle and rearing replacements, however, she has also worked on a dairy goat farm. She has always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and after a year of study graduated top of her class in early 2017 with a certificate in vet nursing.

Amanda started work at Franklin Vets Te Kauwhata in August 2017. In particular, she enjoys pregnancy scanning, de-budding calves, taking blood samples, being an “in the field” surgical assistant and the bolusing of both cattle and sheep.
