Parasites

Drenching cattle

Parasitism is still one of the biggest animal health issues for beef operations, and every year we see multiple cases of lost production and even deaths from the wrong drench being used.

Every farm is unique, and you need to get specific advice for the age of stock you are treating, the time of year and local factors are important such as, is fluke present?, or do these animals need a quarantine drench? etc etc.

The increasingly severe drench resistance issues that we see in the sheep industry is starting to make their presence felt within the cattle drench market. This makes it more important than ever for you to get personalised, tailored advice on which drench is best for you.

We also provide Faecal Egg Counts (FECs) services to determine if the animals even need drenching and we can conduct a post-drenching FEC to monitor the effectiveness of the product you are using.
