We’re on the lookout for a part-time Microsoft 365 & Automation Specialist (20 hours per week) to support our growing team of 200+ users on a six month fixed term basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong Microsoft 365 skillset, a knack for automation, and a passion for great user support.

What You’ll Do
Front-Line Support
- Triage & Troubleshoot: You’ll be the go-to for day-to-day IT support queries—logging tickets, resolving basic issues, and keeping things running smoothly.
- Ticket Management: Own the helpdesk queue, ensuring timely follow-up, clear communication and resolution tracking Microsoft 365
- SharePoint & Teams: Manage, maintain, and optimise our SharePoint sites, Teams , Outlook and Forms
- Power Automate: Design, maintain and optimise workflows that drive efficiency, from email triggers to approval and integrations
- Licensing & Permissions: Keep an eye on user access, ensuring our data stays secure.
- Monitor Key Systems:—like licensing and SharePoint storage—and jump in before issues arise.
Support & Escalation
- Documentation: Maintain internal IT documentation and help develop basic user training resources.
- Avaya Phone System: Provide basic assistance; escalate complex issues when needed.
- Hardware & Onboarding: Occasionally lend a hand provisioning new hardware and onboarding of new users
What We’re Looking For
- M365: You know Microsoft 365 inside out—especially SharePoint, Teams, and Power Automate.
- Communication: Patient, friendly, and clear-headed under pressure. You thrive on helping others.
- Ownership & Initiative: Comfortable taking charge of problems and escalating when necessary.
- Automation: You love finding ways to streamline processes, improve efficiency and solve problems.
- Security-Savvy: You’re aware of best practices for data integrity and access permissions.
- Team Player: Happy to collaborate and support a tight-knit IT team, and willing to ask for help when you need it.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Avaya phone systems, Ezyvet, InfoVet, or Smartflow (we’ll train you if not!).
- Previous experience in a multi-site environment.
- A full NZ driver’s licence (some travel may be required).
